Welcome to Second Chance, a blog about cancer survival and the writing life. With so many writers' blogs out there, I've had to think long and hard about whether I have anything new to offer. Obviously, I believe I do.
When I was 15, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin's Lymphoma. That's as bad as it gets; there is no Stage V. Now, 38 years later, I'm probably one of the healthiest people you'll ever meet. I teach dance and Pilates, I'm full of energy, and I'm determined to pursue the things I love. And the thing I love to do most of all is write.
Not everyone gets a second chance. I'm grateful for every day that comes my way, and I want to share those days with you. In this blog I'll chat about my experiences as a cancer survivor and a writer and explore how those two worlds interconnect. Whether you're a cancer survivor, a writer, both, or none of the above, I hope the time we spend together will bring insight and enjoyment to your life. Pull up a chair and let's talk. I'm so glad you're here!
